We have been learning about budgeting. We had a budget of 6-8 thousand dollars and had to plan a holiday. I decided to go to Malaysia. Here is my creation.

My Weekend Journal

On Saturday I didn't do that much. Dad and I painted the fence. Eden had left for a scout camp that morning so it was just me and Dad painting. That night my family went to our neighbors for a BBQ. Jake left early and walked home so it was just Mum, Dad and I staying for dinner. Other than that my weekend wasn't very eventful.

On Saturday I enjoyed a sleep in. We then went to our neighbors for a BBQ. It was fun. Our friend from Nelson -Shelley joined us. It was good to see her again. On Sunday we said farewell to Shelley. We didn't do much else.

For home links this week I practiced show don’t tell. I did this to improve my skills for our narrative writing.

1: She was mad.

She felt the hatred flow through her body as her face started to turn red. Her hands clenched into a fist as she let out a loud yell.

2: He was happy.

His face brightened up and the dimples in his cheek showed.

3: The girl was happy when she found out she got a kitten.

The girl’s face was overflowing with joy as her new four legged pal, purred in her arms.

4: The boy had a sore bleeding knee.

The boy sat on the ground, screaming with tears rolling down his cheeks, as the gash on his knee bled.

Science Road Show Reflection

The Science Road Show

Today we went to Grey High were we were lucky to witnessed the science roadshow. The science roadshow is a fun interactive science roadshow (which the name implies) were there are lots of different interactive exhibits. We learned about chemical change and physical change. Physical change can be undone but most of the time chemical can not be undone. It was fun to see. Next time I would like to have more time to explore all the exhibits. They even had a competition were you could win a cool prize printed in a 3D printer. I had a great time and I can't wait for it to come again soon!

My Weekend Journal

This weekend I had my birthday party. I had a few friend over. We played some games and watched a few movies. After my party my Mum and I went to the gypsy fair. I bought a really cool dream catcher and a new purse like bad. My dream catcher is blue beaded and has three parts to it. I am thinking about re-organizing my wall to make it more me as at the moment it is looking a little bare. On Saturday Night we stayed at our neighbors - Kate And Shannon - because Dad and Mum went to his work dinner thing. It was good because I got my own room.
