My Year Reflection

Well where do I start?

Well to start, the digital merge was a lot better than I thought it would be. I went from no knowledge about anything on a chrome book (or even what a chrome book was) to being were I am today. This was a big step for me. I still miss the books but I think that the digital stuff is cool to.
I have really enjoyed all the major events like Pet Day, Elgrego, Sailing, and many more because they were all different and unique they were fun to participate in.
Image result for lake brunner schoolEveryone was friendly and everyone was friends with everyone.
Music was soo much fun! I enjoyed all the challenging songs and difficult chords. I hope that we continue to learn Ukulele as it is a good skill.

Next Year

I am exited for all the fun and exiting challenges to come. Next Year I am looking froward to our Bridge Valley camp.

Ruma J's Overnight Trip

Ruma J's Overnight Trip

Overall I think that the trip was pretty amazing. The games were different to the usual ones and they were really entertaining, from bashing your friends with pillows, to trying to make each other laugh. The trip had a bit of everything. Next time we should spend more time at the lake.
Watch the video below to see some of the amazing activities.

Sailing On Our Lake

On Friday the 4th, Ruma J went sailing on our lake. It was really fun as the instructor was funny and nice so he made it fun to learn. I was in the first group, the beginners group, we left in the morning so there wasn't as much wind. We then got asked about our names and if we were a fruit which fruit would you be. I thought that this was a weird question. When we finally got on the water it was really fun and exiting. Our instructor towed us out deeper in our lake so we could sail easier. My favorite part was doing all the fun challenges like the L'Oreal challenge wear we had to dip our hair in the water and then flip our hair and say "because I'm worth it". Next time  I would like to be on the lake for a full day.

Are You Feeling Lucky? Logo.

Recently we have been learning about money. Miss J gave everyone a banqer account. Banqer is a bank simulation that gives people the feeling of owning a back account. To earn money we all made companies that perform different tasks. My main company is called Are You Feeling Lucky? it is a lotto company that gives people the chance to win big! We had to make logo's for our companies, this is my logo. I chose this design because these two dice represent the two dice that are rolled to get the winning numbers. The blue stands for trust and loyalty so you can trust Are You Feeling Lucky? to perform fairly. Next time I would make it neater.

St John First Aid Reflection

On Tuesday the 2nd, Denise from St Johns came to our school. She showed us our heartbeat and she taught us what to do if someone has hypothermia. She also taught us how to give CPR to a person if they have stopped breathing. I enjoyed the activity about hypothermia as it taught us a lot and my group was the only one that kept 'Jo' alive. I think that it is really important that Denise visits schools as she raises awareness to people about what to do in case of emergency.

Elgregoe Reflection

Today our school was very privileged to get a visit from Elgregoe. Elgregoe is a magician and a ventriloquist that teaches schools about bullying. He preformed a lot of great tricks and taught us a lot about bullying; he even involved some people from school in his tricks. My favorite bit was the floating man trick were his assistant (Sue) made Elgregoe float and all the animals he involved in his performances. I think that Elgregoe is a great performer that taught us a lot about bullying. Some common slogans he says are:
Hands are for helping, not for hurting, Don't repeat everything you hear , repeat the things that are friendly and helpful and If you upset someone, you need to say sorry and take the blame.

Rip Tide By Vance Joy. BW, NB, ThB. Ukulele

Today our task was to learn something new on the ukulele. Theo, Niko and I decided we would learn some of the song Rip tide by Vance Joy. I think there were positive and negatives to working in a group. A negative was that we disagreed about the song choice; a positive was that when we chose the song it was easier to learn because we could help each other.

Flora and Fauna Reflection. With Mr Barnett and Henk

R.I.P it Reflection

Today Ruma J got a visitor (Henk) from DOC. He took us on one of the local bush tracks and showed us some of the native flora on the track. I think that the best bit about it was how we got to see the plants in real life instead of just talking about it. This was very useful as in class as we are writing about Flora and Fauna for the Talking Shed project. The walk showed me how many different, native plants there are nearby. I think that the walk will help a lot with our Flora and Fauna Project.

Standard Written Form

Today we were learning how to solve multiplication and division questions using standard written form. I think I could have been clearer in my video's and I could have explained it better. I like the font choice. Next time I could make my slideshow more exiting. I think that division is harder using this strategy.

What is sound?
